GoDaddy

GodaddyGodaddy is one of the biggest domain name registrar and web hosting company in the world. It is a publicly traded American company that has over 19 million customers across the globe. Known for its top-notch support and steadfast services, Godaddy’s popularity is getting extremely widespread. Godaddy has been into web hosting world from the past 2 decades. A few of their business growth is based on their extremely powerful internet marketing campaigns and media advertising while the majority of customers comes from the word of mouth.

This is my honest review of Godaddy. I became their customer in 2012-13, don’t remember exactly. I booked a domain with them and that was very cheap. I kept buying all my domains with them until GST was introduced in India. I switched to Crazy Domains for domain registrations as Godaddy became very costly. Godaddy started charging about Rs.950 for a domain while Crazy Domains was giving me same domain at just Rs.650. I still don’t use Godaddy for domain booking as they don’t throw any offer nor they reduce their pricing.

Now, let’s come over to Godaddy’s web hosting. I don’t recommend them for reseller hosting as they are again one of the most costly reseller hosting company. But, I must appreciate their shared hosting services. I bought a ‘DELUXE’ shared hosting package with Godaddy in 2017. I don’t say that was cheap but was reasonably priced. Their servers are fast and website response time is quick. They have awesome phone support that works for 24×7. I didn’t face any downtime in their hosting after using for about 2 years. Even after such satisfactory services and support of Godaddy, I moved to Namecheap. They were offering more features and that too at unbelievable price.
